Houston William P. Hobby Airport (HOU)
Travel and Ground Transport

(Houston, Texas - TX, USA)

There is a variety of transfer options available to Houston and city hotels in the area including the public Metro bus system, scheduled ground transportation shuttles, hotel courtesy vans, taxis and limousines.

You can also travel to Galveston and other areas on the Gulf Coast with relative ease, with a range of options available.

Buses

The cheapest form of transport to the city and points in-between is by taking a Houston Metropolitan Transit Authority (METRO) bus. Services run from the airport terminal to various stops in the city. Buses go from Curb Zone 8A, which is located outside the Baggage Claim area on the lower level.

Shuttle Buses

Possibly the best choice for getting to downtown Houston and city hotels as well as to nearby destinations such as Galveston is to take a shuttle bus. There are many scheduled shuttle services that serve William P Hobby Airport including: Express Shuttle, Texans Super Shuttle, Airport America Shuttle, Galveston Limousine and Ground Shuttle.com.

Hotel Shuttle Buses

Those who pre-book a hotel or motel in the Houston area should check to see whether the establishment of their choice provides a courtesy van. You can pre-book hotel shuttles or simply use the courtesy telephones in the Baggage Claim area to request a pickup.

Taxi Cabs

Taxis go from Curb Zone 3, outside the Baggage Claim area at William P Hobby Airport, on the lower level of the terminal. Taxis serve all destinations in the city and you can share taxis at a single fare. Late night surcharges apply and senior citizens can request a 10 percent discount.

Limousines

Limousines are available for transport to destinations citywide including downtown Houston, city hotels and nearby destinations. Limousines go from curb zones 9B and 11 outside of the Baggage Claim area.
